Yes. I am a “1rst time mom”.
I can’t even. If I see one more post about, “when a first time mom says, ‘my kids never gonna eat that😂’ or ‘my kids never gonna do that😂'” – I will scream.
First off☝🏼, what’s wrong with having goals? When did it become laughable 😂 to have an objective? Why is it funny for a new mom to want her kids👶🏻to be and have better than her?
I’m in my ‘late’ thirties people. Being 💯 here. I’ve seen a few kids👧🏼 grow up – from birth to college. I have seen 👀 some-things work, and some-things not work. I think it’s a okay 👌🏼 for me to have goals on how I wanna raise my kid 👶🏻.
When I was preggers 🤰🏼, I said I wanted my kiddo to eat low sugar and natural foods🥑. Yo. So far it’s working. Wanna know what Jack had for dinner 🍴 tonight? Sautéed kale, spinach, tomato 🍅, zucchini, squash, onion, carrot 🥕, bell pepper 🌶, and organic pork roast, all sautéed in avacado oil. That’s what his parental units 👱🏼♀️👳🏾had too. Jack eats minimal sugar. We eat as organic 🌱and clean as possible. Why? Cause I had a goal and I stuck with it. No matter what the world 🌎 or social media had to say 📢 about it.
When I was preggers 🤰🏼, I said I wanted my kiddo 👶🏻 to have limited ‘screen time’. Guess what❓, Jack never watches TV 📺. He doesn’t watch anything on our phones 📱 or play with our phones. He doesn’t have an iPad or a tablet.
Those have been the two goals Marcus and I have been the most vocal about and they are also the two goals people have scoffed at the most. I just don’t get why.
Will it stay the same when I get preggers 🤰🏼with the next one? I don’t know 🤷♀️. But hey. Hopefully it does. I will do my best to make sure it does.
I will always have goals. I will always aspire for more and for better for my babies 👶🏻. ❤
